We are very proud of our ranch and want to share with you a terrific experience while you are here. Take your horses camping with you or come ride ours! The perfect vacation destination awaits you at Rancho Oso Guest Ranch and Stables in Santa Barbara, California!

Located only 30 minutes from Highway 101, the airport, or downtown Santa Barbara, Rancho Oso's rustic mountain setting makes you feel like you're worlds away from civilization. Our unique resort offers a blend of Southern California's natural scenic beauty, National Forest access, resort comforts, equestrian facilities, lodging options, and plain ol' down-home Western hospitality.

Our Guest Ranch embodies the spirit of the Old West with cozy Bunkhouse Cabins, Covered Wagons and fire rings. If you're bringing horses, you can also RV or tent it here at Rancho Oso!

Time for fun and family closeness abounds here in the Old West pace of ranch living. Build great memories together in the beauty of coastal mountain back country as you hike or trail ride in the Los Padres National Forest or visit historical sites on the ranch.

If you're feeling lazy after your ride, relax by the pools, pop into the spa for a soak, and let our Stone Lodge Kitchen & Chuckwagon do the cooking! We serve family-style meals on Weekends and Holidays and no one leaves the table hungry!

Have a large group event in mind?

The Guest Ranch, as well as our huge arena, is available for group events, horse shows, clinics, gymkhanas, team sorting, team penning or any number of equestrian activities.

Horse Camping

What could be better than camping with your horses and friends in our beautiful "river" sites, or in our main Western Village horse camp? Your equine partner will love the fresh air and change of pace, and spending "quality time" with his humans! Horse campers have access to all resort amenities, so get your reservations in soon!

Horse Boarding

One of the best natural environments for a horse anywhere in the area. Spacious pasture with other horses, clean and maintained water troughs, quality hay fed twice daily. Professional trained staff on duty 24/7, with 24-hour gated security entrance. Your monthly board includes: free worming every 3 months, horse trailer storage, and space in a locked tack room. As a boarder, you have access to our huge arena and round pen, and you can ride right out into the Los Padres National Forest!
